NO WOMAN IS AN ISLAND, a boxed set of women's fiction was published in July 2021. Linda's latest book, HIDDEN was one of the five novels included in the set.


Linda's ninth novel, HIDDEN was published in February 2020.


Amazon's Lake Union imprint re-published THE TRYSTING TREE as THE MEMORY TREE in August 2019. The ebook made #1 in many Amazon categories. The book is available in print, audio and ebook formats.


Linda's eighth novel, THE TRYSTING TREE was published in 2016. There are two threads to this dramatic family story - one set in 1914 and the other set in 2014.


Linda's seventh novel, CAULDSTANE, a bestselling gothic romance in the tradition of Daphne du Maurier and Mary Stewart was published in 2014.


"Talking to my imaginary friends: a writer's life"
was the title of a talk Linda gave at Scone Library in Perthshire as part of Book Week Scotland 2013.


Linda appeared at the FELIXSTOWE BOOK FESTIVAL, June 15th-16th 2013. She presented REACHING YOUR READERS, a talk about indie-publishing. She also appeared with novelist Rosy Thornton talking about "A Sense of Place" in fiction.


Lyn Baines at I PREFER READING blog chose THE GLASS GUARDIAN as one of her Top Ten Books of 2012. "The most all-consuming reading experience I had this year. I read it virtually in one sitting, just wonderful."


Linda was one of four artists interviewed in CREATIVE MINDS, a podcast about mental health & creativity made for the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival 2012.


THE MEMORY TREE, UNTYING THE KNOT, HOUSE OF SILENCE and CAULDSTANE have all been honoured by the Book Readers Appreciation Group (BRAG). A panel of readers selects the best indie books which are then awarded a BRAG Medallion.


Publicacoes Europa-America have bought the translation rights to HOUSE OF SILENCE. They have already published Portuguese editions of EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY and STAR GAZING.

Linda's sixth novel, a supernatural love story called THE GLASS GUARDIAN was published in June 2012.


Translation rights to STAR GAZING have been sold to Poland, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Finland, Romania and Brazil and several other countries.


Translation rights to HOUSE OF SILENCE and EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY have been sold to Turkey where STAR GAZING has already been a big success.


HOUSE OF SILENCE was selected by Amazon UK as one of its Top Ten BEST OF 2011 in the Indie Author category. It was also chosen as one of their Books of the Year by book bloggers CORNFLOWER BOOKS and RANDOM JOTTINGS OF A BOOK & OPERA LOVER.


Linda was invited to become the CELEBRATE SCIENCE Author in Residence for 2011 at Durham University "with the aim of encouraging greater creative dialogue between scientists and fiction writers." She blogged throughout 2011 at CELEBRATING SCIENCE


Linda's fourth novel, HOUSE OF SILENCE, a romantic family drama, was published in 2011. It quickly became a Kindle bestseller.


Linda contributed to a feature on "Haunted Scotland" in the January 2011 issue of SCOTTISH FIELD magazine.


STAR GAZING was shortlisted for Premios Dama 2010, a Spanish romantic book award.


STAR GAZING topped WOMAN'S WEEKLY's reader poll for Favourite Romantic Novel 1960-2010. Katie Fforde presented Linda with a trophy at a champagne breakfast organised by the Romantic Novelists' Association.


Following the success of STAR GAZING in Portugal, the publisher Publicacoes Europa-America published a Portuguese edition of EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY in 2010.


STAR GAZING was short-listed for the UK's first environmental book award, the Robin Jenkins Literary Award, promoting writing inspired by Scotland's landscape. Shortlisted authors were invited to an event at the Edinburgh Book Festival and Linda blogged about it on the book blog Rhapsodyinbooks


STAR GAZING was shortlisted for the Romantic Novel of the Year Award 2009, presented by the Romantic Novelists' Association.

STAR GAZING, Linda's third novel was published by Piatkus in 2008.


EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY tied as runner-up in NW Libraries' PURE PASSION promotion.


Linda was invited to appear at the first national Mental Health Arts Film and Media Festival held in Glasgow in 2007. She appeared at Glasgow Women's Library talking about her first novel, EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY.


A LIFETIME BURNING was featured in PRIMA magazine in an article about book groups' favourite reads.


EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY was voted into the Top Ten Reads of 2006 by BCUK, the UK chapter of www.BookCrossing.com. EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY tied in 4th place.
